Animals' Angels is a German organization that follows trucks transporting animals to slaughter throughout Europe and North America. The footage they capture of mistreatment and abuse during transport exposes to the public the horrible practices of the meat industry. www.animals-angels.de
Prijateli Zivotinja is an animal rights organization in Croatia promoting vegetarianism as an ethical, ecological and healthy way of living by creating multimedia informational stands and disseminating literature throughout the country. www.prijatelji-zivotinja.hr
Animal Log is an Israeli organization that produces high-quality videos documenting animal abuse for screening in local theaters and on community-access TV. They are in process of translating Hebrew videos into English. www.animal-tv.org
Four Feet Forward is conducting a sustained billboard marketing campaign promoting vegetarianism to university students in the Portland, OR area. www.fourfeetforward.org
Humane Research Council conducts research on social trends and public reaction to the animal rights and vegetarian messages. www.humanespot.org
Mercy For Animals is a grassroots animal rights organization in Chicago that has created a groundbreaking 60-second TV commercial documenting the atrocities of factory farms and slaughterhouses. It has been aired nationally on MTV, BET, and Animal Planet. www.mercyforanimals.org
Nigerian Vegetarian Society reaches out to the homeless and destitute with free plant-based foods. Thousands of displaced and needy Nigerians benefit each year, and are encouraged to pursue a plant-based diet. NVS also hosts cooking demonstrations and seminars emphasizing the nutritional benefits of plant foods.
Society for Animals is a Czech Republic animal rights organization that is printing and mailing a brochure on vegetarianism in Czech as well as printing "5 reasons to become vegetarian" stickers and creating veggie info resources on their website. www.spolecnostprozvirata.cz
GRANT PROPOSAL GUIDELINES
Grant proposals should abide by the following guidelines:
1.The applicant must be a grassroots organization working for animal rights and social justice.

2.Because of the large number of proposals from India and Africa, applicants have to compete with other proposals coming from same region. They may apply as a coalition of few organizations, the applicant must initially e-mail scans or photos of the certificate of registration for each member as well as a sign-up sheet certifying that the member groups wish to be part of the coalition.
3.Proposals from applicants that have not e-mailed reports with photographs on activities covered by prior grants will not be considered.
4.The proposal should consist of no more than 3 pages and 2 brief attachments.
5.The proposal should contain clear, specific objective(s) sought, an action plan with specific tasks and a timeline, and a budget.
6.The project should be innovative.
7.The proposal should indicate how the results will be assessed and reported.
8.The proposal should indicate the identity and prior credits of the project director (s).
9.Availability of matching funds and/or services and likelihood that the experience gained can be applied elsewhere will enhance your proposal.
10.The proposal should be e-mailed by Dec 31st to proposal@sudeshkumar.org
